Step 1: Press the Windows key and type 'Control Panel' to launch the Control Panel app.

Step 2: Click on 'Change PC settings' from the left column under 'System and Security', then click on 'Password'.

Step 3: Click on 'Change password', then fill in your old password and new password (if required).

Step 4: Click on 'Reset this PC' button at the bottom of the screen, then wait for a few minutes while Windows 10 creates a password reset disk for you.

The problem is that you are using the wrong password.

Make sure to use a strong password that you are comfortable with and not just anything.

Use the strongest password you can think of, but don't use your personal information such as birthdays or other identifying information such as your social security number.

If you have any doubts about which password to use, we recommend that you reset your PC's admin password first, then create a new password for the account that will be used for resetting.

The error "Can't create password reset disk" will appear if you try to create a password reset disk in Windows 10. This is as a result of some issues with the system and it is often caused by an outdated security software.

If your PC has an old version of McAfee, Avast or AVG antivirus software installed, then this may be the reason for the error message. In this case, try updating your antivirus software to the latest version and see if it helps.

If you want to check which antivirus software is installed on your machine, go to Settings > Update & Security > Device Installation Settings > Advanced Options > Security and check which antivirus program is listed there. If one of them is listed as not installed, uninstall it and install again.
